-School Library Journal, Starred review

Explanations of Quotes:
"Never seek noteriety."
-This quote fits the story very well, Sherlock only says it once, but it was memorable. This qoute goes along with the story almost perfectly. It fits the story so well because throuout the entire book Sherlock is trying to keep a low profile and he doesn't want to be see or heard by any detectives. He is like this because throu the majority of the book he is at crime scenes that he should'nt be permitted to enter. "Get credit, when credit is due." -Sherlock Holmes is desperate to be credited for solving a case. He wants to be able to prove that he actually knows what he is talking about when it comes to crime. he doesn't just want people thinking that he is a dumb boy who doesn't have a clue. This is why Sherlock Tryed so hard to solve the Rathbone kidnapping. He figured out though that he wasn't the one who should be credited so he didn't take the fame of solving this case "All is fair in love and crime."
-In the begining of the book this quote wouldn't have made much sense, but in the end it does. Sherlock has a love for investigating and in the end everything turned out okay for him, not exceptionally well, but not bad. . .fair. . . everything turned out fair for Holmes. I think the quote means that the result of anyhting will most likely turn out fair, you may not know it then, but you'll get used to the idea, and then it will most likely seem fair to you.

Trailer for "Vanishing Girl" by Shane Peacock
- The first video I chose because when you watch it you automatically start to think about what the book might be about. This video makes your mind wander. You think about all the mystery that the book could contain.I also chose it because it's about the book I've read and it sort of makes you want to read it. Eminem-When I'm Gone
- This song doesn't directly relate to the book like the first video, but it goes along with parts of the book. For example where it talks about Victoria's father not really caring about her, always ignoring her ever since she was little, and just spending very little time with her, These parts relate to the book. In the song the father (Eminem) is mean and crude and doesn't care about his family. It is the same way in the book, Victoria's father doesnt really care whether she comes back or not he just has to pretend as if he cares for the public because he's a polotician. In the song it mentions that the da is never there and thatthe little girl and her mom just want hm to be there for them. In the book Lord Rathbone is very estranged from his wife and daughter, but he does nothing to fix their estrangement, whereas in the song the father comes home and they basically all live happily ever after.
